The Centre for Research and Technology-Hellas (CERTH), founded in 2000, is the only research centre in Northern Greece and one of the largest in the country. The Information Technologies Institute (ITI) of CERTH was founded in 1998 as a non-profit organisation under the auspices of the General Secretariat of Research and Technology of Greece (GSRT), with its head office located in Thessaloniki, Greece. ΙΤΙ is currently participating in more than 60 competitive research projects financed by the EU, NATO, and other competitive funding instruments and its research results (more than 260 publications per year) have significant scientific impact. The participating teams of CERTH-ITI in DYNAMO are the Multimodal Data Fusion and Analytics Group (M4D) and the Visual Analytics Lab (VALab), both with significant and demonstrable experience and scientific expertise in several areas, including cybersecurity applications.

CRBC, led by Dr Karen Neville, has secured over €6.5 million in funding. Dr Neville coordinated the S-HELP project (a €3.5 million FP7-grant) to develop to a suite of decision support tools to aid coordination and control of major disasters.
