The faces of DYNAMO: Fraunhofer EMI

28 November, 2022

To give a better idea of the project and the minds behind DYNAMO, we will start with the introduction of our partners and a statement of what they are looking forward to in the next 3 years. The beginning of our series “The faces of DYNAMO” is made by our coordinator Fraunhofer-Institut für Kurzzeitdynamik, Ernst-Mach-Institut, EMI:

“Fraunhofer Ernst-Mach-Institut (EMI) has specialized in investigating physical-technical processes in materials, structures, and components as they occur, for instance, during crash or impact. Our research contributes to increased safety and security, resilience, and sustainability in our society. Specifically, we focus on agent-based modelling and simulation for Critical Infrastructures. In the project DYNAMO, we are interested in studying the intersection of Resilience and Business Continuity Models and applying our understanding to the three different Critical Infrastructures (Healthcare, Energy, and Transportation). We look forward to working in close collaboration with the end-users and gaining their perspective to develop a suitable solution with the agent-based models to assess business continuity for varying threat scenarios.”
